Job description

As a General Manager (GM) you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel and maximize the overall performance, sales and profit, brand awareness, brand reputation, business opportunities, team productivity and performance, and above all guest and employee satisfaction. The GM should lead with passion, inspire our teams and attract the industry’s best talent. The GM is responsible for the realization of qualitative and quantitative goals based on the specified annual plan and budget. The GM will be responsible for all activities of the hotels, making use of Spain overhead services (Finance, Purchasing, People & Culture, Revenue, Booking Office, Sales and Marketing).

This position has a managerial authority and decision-making discretion with respect to hiring and firing, training and reviewing staff performance, and creating performance goals and incentives. The GM will develop yearly departmental goals, together with the ROD, and will guide the staff to ensure action plans are implemented to achieve the goals.

The GM works closely with The Entourage Group, responsible for the F&B concept MR PORTER within Sir Victor Hotel.

Oversee all aspects of hotel management, including operations, commercial endeavors, and financial performance.

Lead and motivate a diverse team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve business objectives.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue generation and profitability.

Ensure adherence to high standards of service quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Foster a positive work culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Cultivate strong relationships with guests, stakeholders, and partners to enhance the hotel's reputation and market presence.

Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

Uphold the values and standards of the Hotel Sir Victor brand in all interactions and operations.

To succeed in this role as General Manager at Sir Victor, we believe you are a natural, pro-active, connector that shows decisiveness and can lead by example. With an open-mind and a heartfelt understanding of the Sir brand, you drive the operational results with a suitable flair.

Bachelor or Master degree in Hospitality Management or a similar education;

At least 5 years of experience in a strategic management position in the Hospitality Industry with a record of accomplishments of success in operational, commercial and financial domains.

Possess strategic thinking ability, are result-driven and therefore capable to analyze and solve issues;

Are capable to offer coaching-leadership to direct reports;

Possess financial insight in the ability to translate this to the daily operations to ensure the desired guest experience;

Are a (pro)active and inspiring leader who can make strategic decisions

Possess a helicopter view and therefore is an overarching leader;

Are able to create independent and self-managing teams to ensure a high efficiency level;

Excellent communication, planning, management & organization skills;

You are able, with your natural charm and convincing-skills, to influence and inspire people;

You possess excellent communication skills in English, Spanish. Catalan is advantageous.
