Summary:

The Project Manager will lead the engagement and will support the Senior Project Success Executive to ensure the successful deployment of first engagement solutions, and the repeat deployment of future solutions. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management, project coordination, and project management. The Project Manager will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure timelines and deliveries of customer projects are executed flawlessly.

Partner with a Project Success Executive lead in partnership with Product Engineering and Management, Commercial Team, Sales Engineering, Project Engineering, Project Coordination, Product Commissioning to drive the design and development of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects with key customers

Establish a close working relationship with key internal stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Service) to find the right balance between what our customers want and what works best with our products

Communicate limitations clearly, manage expectations proactively, and establish a working plan with our customers and our internal team to drive customer satisfaction

Develop customer relationships that promote retention and future business opportunities

Responsible for actively driving towards target project margin and schedule

Facilitate effective team dynamics among project team (including Project Engineer, Project Controls Coordinator, Commissioning Engineer, Site Lead, P&L Manager, etc.) for effective delivery of a high-quality customer experience

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Microsoft Project

Manage and support the management of customer project development on ProCore platform

Interface with Legal and Finance resources as necessary for effective management of budget and risk

Monitor and release customer invoices based upon contractual milestones in NetSuite ensuring that the Project Success Executive is aware of progress payments and contractual requirements

Provide first level review of service provider invoices and identify invoice coding that is in line with budget and financial reporting

Process purchase requests in NetSuite and follow-up on purchase order generation and monitor the status of material orders and their receiving

Work closely with all members of Project Success team on the preparation of key monthly reports, develop, maintain required tracking and reporting data files

Control, collect and archive project documentation (contracts, invoices, scope changes, etc..) and site documentation (daily reports, non-conformity reports, transport plans, lifting plans, bill of lading etc.)

Assist Lead Coordinator with training and mentorship of Project Coordinators

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, Engineering (preferred) or equivalent education and experience

Minimum 5-7 years’ related work experience

4-5 years’ experience in a coordinator role, or combined 3 years of energy storage, distributed generation, data center equipment, or large-scale electrical equipment experience

Experience with ProCore or other Construction Management software is a plus

PMP or an equivalent certification is a plus

Experience handling a complex customer environment and understand a complex product definition and delivery process

Experience in Technical Sales or Customer Account Management

Experience in Contract and Scope Negotiation, Customer Requirements definition, Project Development

Familiarity with RFPs, as well as construction management terminology and principles

Highly organized and detail-oriented, works with a sense of urgency

Proficiency with Microsoft software, specifically Excel and Outlook

Experience using NetSuite (or equivalent) MM, PS, DMS and QS modules, is highly preferred

Strong planning and organizational skills with high attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

Ability to act quickly and work well under pressure and tight deadlines

Ability to think outside the box when faced with challenges

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, some experience with MS Project (or other scheduling software)

Ability to fluently speak, read and write English
