Job Description A Project Manager is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This is a senior role that requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. Projects will be any in the company portfolio : RF units for Telecom satellites, Units devoted to communicate and control the satellites, Digital on board processing units, Ground segment for spacecraft control and associated tests means.
We are seeking multi-skilled and highly capable candidates, able to lead teams in situations and under pressure. The Space sector is a highly specialized one, and therefore strong communications skills vs stakeholders is a must.
Project Manager roles and responsibilities
As a role that focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible, we expect the following duties and responsibilities to be carried out :
Ensuring projects meet costs & deadlines
Managing project progress and adapt work as required
Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
Leading risk & opportunities identification all along the program
Designing risk mitigation plan. Securing opportunities when initiating new projects
Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
Coordinating staff and internal resources
Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
Managing large and diverse teams
Leading project planning sessions
Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
Project Manager qualification and requirements
A great Project Manager usually has five or more years’ experience, and one or several formal qualifications in any of the following fields:
Engineering
Business or Business Administration
Management
Additionally, candidate should possess high levels of the below skills to perform well in the role:
Written and verbal communication skills (English compulsory, other languages would be a plus)
Capacity to manage high stress situations
Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
Leadership skills
Big-picture thinking and vision
Conflict resolution skills
Attention to detail
Financial basics
