Software Engineer for CCAM

BasqueCCAM (https://basqueccam.com/), an association that promotes the generation of an R&D and innovation ecosystem for the promotion of technologies and solutions for CCAM in the Basque Country with local, state and international projection, of which Vicomtech (www.vicomtech.org) is a Strategic Partner along with two other leading organizations in the sector, is looking for:
A junior engineer who will help to define the technical specifications of the projects and test plans. You will perform the design and definition of the software architecture for CCAM solutions, considering functional and non-functional requirements, and following good software engineering practices and specific standards. Develop and maintain software using programming languages and technologies relevant to CCAM. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the integration of software with hardware components and CCAM systems, integrating different equipment and data sources and ensuring interoperability.
You will verify and validate solutions, performing testing, debugging and verification of CCAM systems. You will run tests, demonstrations and pilots integrating solutions from partners and different ecosystem players.
Applicants must have:
Education: Degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar.
Minimum experience of 2 years in the design and development of software applications and systems.
Languages: Spanish and English advanced level.
We value those candidates have:
Experience in any of the following areas:
V2X application development
Backend development for connected vehicle services
ROS (Robot Operating System)
Knowledge of programming languages used in software development, such as C++, Python or Java, and database technologies.
Knowledge in CCAM specific protocols and standards, such as ETSI ITS-G5, C-V2X or MQTT.
Familiarity with relevant frameworks and technologies, such as ROS, embedded systems or microservices architecture, among others.
Experience in the development of artificial intelligence algorithms and systems.
