Postdoctoral Researcher in Innate Immune Biology (ref. PD/23/14)

Location: IRB Barcelona, Barcelona Science Park, Barcelona, Spain
PhD in biomedicine or biosciences (completed within no more than 2 years)
Experience in performing and disseminating scientific studies
Highly motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic about leading challenging research projects
Fluency in written and spoken English
Organized, responsible, and creative
Job Description: The selected candidates will lead and organize projects within the group’s scientific scope with the PI. Duties include conducting high-quality research, participating in group meetings and scientific discussions, engaging in the training of junior scientists, and collaborating on manuscript writing with the PI. The focus is on understanding the role of the innate immune system and immunometabolism in homeostasis and aging.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills: Must Have – Required:
Experience in research on innate immune cells, aging, and/or immunometabolism
Supervision of students or technicians
Coordination of collaborative research efforts
Knowledge of Mass and Flow Cytometry, Mouse models, Primary human tissue and cell culture, Bioinformatics tools for gene expression analysis, Multiplex immunohistochemistry, Molecular biology techniques including cloning and CRISPR
